Approximately 5,000 people visit this historic site each year. The meticulous grounds at Tappan, the DeWint House, Carriage House and associated out-buildings are carefully maintained by the Trustees. In addition, the Trustees oversee all capital improvements in an effort to preserve the site and ensure authenticity.
The properties' caretakers are employees of the Trustees and are responsible for the selection and hiring of any contract personnel related to capital improvements.
